# Answerfox — SEO toolkit for AI search engines

Dependabot for agent readiness.

By Anuj Ojha. Status: Open source. Page: https://anujojha.com/work/answerfox/

## What it is

Answerfox is an open-source toolkit that checks whether a website is ready to be read and quoted by AI search engines, and gives you each fix as code you commit.

## The problem

Search stopped being a list of links and became an answer. Almost every SEO tool still audits for the crawler, not for the engine that has to read your page and then say something true about it.

## How it works

One command, af, audits a site against 39 live checks, of 56 in the full framework. Seven coordinated packages (core, schemas, metadata, sitemap, templates, audit and the CLI) live in one Turborepo, so the audit and the generators cannot drift apart. In CI it exits non-zero when a score breaks your threshold, which makes the score a gate rather than a dashboard.

## The proof

Run against Sipcode's own live site on 11 September 2026, it scored 33 out of 100: one of these tools, grading another, with no favours.

## Where it is now

Open source on npm at v0.4.2. There is no live site yet, so its real terminal output is shown instead of a mocked-up screenshot.

## Numbers

- 39: live audit checks, of 56 in the framework
- 7: coordinated npm packages in one Turborepo
- v0.4.2: current release on npm, command `af`

## Said plainly

- 33 / 100: what it gave my own Sipcode site, run 11 Sep 2026
- No live site yet: the repository is public; there is no live surface yet, so its terminal is shown instead of a faked screenshot

Stack: TypeScript · Turborepo · Cheerio · Vitest · Next.js · JSON-LD
